Geographic location

Known for its convenient proximity to Washington DC, Arlington is where urban meets suburban. Arlington is only separated from the nation’s capital by the Potomac River on the South side of the city and is surrounded by the other affluent and large cities of McLean on the North West side, Falls Church to the West and Alexandria to the South.

The food and bar scene in Arlington is worth several nights, tasting and trying the different eats and treats from each establishment.

The city is known for being very dog friendly. Many of the downtown eateries allow dogs on their patios. There are 2 major off leash dog parks, called Shirlington Dog Park and James Hunter Park.

Transportation and commuter access are a cinch from Arlington! I-395, I-66, George Washington Memorial Parkway and Spout Run Parkway help you get everywhere in the metropolitan area. There are also 4 metro lines that go into and out of the city- orange, yellow, blue and silver.
