Garrisonville is an unincorporated Community in Stafford County (aka – North Stafford) located just south of Quantico Marine Corps Base, lying east of I-95. It is a commuter friendly area with access to commuter lots for shared ride services, as well as Amtrak and VRE stations within a reasonable distance.

Garrisonville is a community within the historically significant Stafford County. Perhaps the most well-known fact is that Stafford County is home to the birthplace of George Washington! Dig further and discover civil war battles, travels of Pocahontas and Captain John Smith and the arrival of impressionist artist, Gari Melchers, in the early 1900’s. Right here in the Garrisonville community is the one of the oldest colonial churches still in operation today, Aquia Church.
Looking for something to do near Garrisonville? Take a short drive north on rt 1 to the Quantico Marine Corps Museum. There is no fee, but donations are welcome! The volunteers are extremely knowledgeable, many of them Veterans. Perhaps you will find a little relaxation at either Potomac Point or Hartwood Winery. Enjoy a leisurely trail walk at Governor’s Island, or if you need a little more excitement, there are several wonderful parks to visit from Smith Lake to Willowmere or the brand new Embrey Mill Park. As well as the highly anticipated Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center, a state of the art facility named after Stafford’s very own two-time Olympic gold medalist. You will find all of your major shopping needs right here in the Garrisonville community as well as many dining options to choose from, including the beloved 610 Diner. Garrisonville is also home to the FBI National Academy Associates.
Major Routes: I-95, US 1, US 17
The I-95 HOV has made it to Garrisonville! Grab yourself an EZPass and save time on your commute. Prefer to carpool (“Slugging”)? Head to the Staffordboro Commuter lot at Garrisonville Rd & Staffordboro Blvd. Route 1 is available as well as taking Rt 610 West (Garrisonville Rd) toward Bealeton, Warrenton, Manassas and more.
Airports: Regional Stafford Airport, Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport to the north and Richmond International Airport to the south.
Trains: Amtrak is available from Fredericksburg or Quantico and the VRE from Fredericksburg or the Leeland Stations.
Quantico: The TBS Quantico gate is right in Garrisonville off of Onville Rd. Quantico main gate is a short drive north on either I-95 or Rt 1.

From the wonderful new townhomes of Woodstream, starting in the low 200’s, to the well-established subdivisions like Austin Ridge, Brentwood Estates, Settlers Landing, etc. Find small lake living on the west end in Lake Arrowhead. Looking for lots that are 3+ acres try Windsor Forest, Maple Hill’s Affluent, and more! One of the newest communities is Embrey Mill, which has a mix of single family and townhomes. This new community is unique with its small parks, small outdoor performance stage, fitness center, outdoor pool and more.

Farmer’s Markets: Be sure to check out the farmer’s market at the Staffordboro commuter lot on Saturdays from spring thru the fall, or the farmer’s market at Stafford Hospital on Sundays.
Clark’s Farm: Open year round. Be sure to check out the Christmas Trees, birthday parties, fall festivals and more.
Annual Christmas Parade: First Stafford Christmas parade was held in 2015, so look for this tradition to continue!
National Night Out: A wonderful partnership event among law enforcement and the community. Always fun activities and education held right in the Stafford Marketplace shopping center every summer.
